MMSI float will go ahead
By Paul Rogerson
The Scottish marketing guru Gerald Michaluk will open an Aberdeen office next month and remains adamant that his Glasgow strategic marketing consultancy will go public when market conditions are right.
His company Marketing Management Services International (MMSI) had hoped to raise £12.5m to fund expansion last year, but it called off a plan to list on the Alternative Investment Market, citing volatile markets.
But Mr Michaluk is undeterred and he plans to attend a London Stock Exchange seminar in Edinburgh next week.
He said: "We will definitely float, once we have met the benchmark agreed with our advisers. They tell us that conditions are improving".
MMSI specialises in gathering marketing intelligence for clients including Compaq and Lucent Technologies and is negotiating with two US sofware companies to sell its flagship product, the Global Marketing Advantage System.
